Our long awaited Visa was finally approved today!
Timeline:
I-129F May 27, 2021 California Service Center
July 29, 2022 Approved Sent to US Ghana Embassy
April 3, 2023 Visa Appointment
April 4, 2023 Medical Appointment
April 12, 2023 VISA APPROVED
We did our own paperwork, no attorney involved. #K1 Visa #Ghana

After NVC sent the approved petition to U.S.Embassy in Ghana, did you apply DS160 and pay and schedule interview date by yourself OR you waited for the Embassy to reach out to you and your fiancé to apply DS-160 and pay and schedule the interview date?

we submitted DS 160 and paid on our own, and sent a request for interview date on website. This was October 2022.

yes but you can't do anything further until we get welcome letter ! I was told by attorney and it also says it on USCIS WEBSITE

Congratulations! My Fiance went the same day on April 3 and medical on April 4. He got an email on April 12 requesting a copy of my divorce decree. He sent it via DHL on April 14. The embassy has his passport so everything is on administrative hold.
Our timeline is:
K1 approved October 6, 2022.
Sent to Embassy January 17, 2023
Email from Embassy stating ready to proceed on January 31, 2023.
After he did the DS160 and paid for the visa, he would look on the website everyday for open appointments and saw appointments available on April 3 and scheduled. We did all the paperwork ourselves.

@Dionne A Thank you! The Embassy in Ghana seems to be working at record pace now. Shout out to Ghana! I am excited about this and hoping everyone gets their long awaited approvals soon. We have Visa in hand now, picked it up today. Thank Yah🙏🏾.

@Addo addo Remain hopeful. A lady I met yesterday, her husband was just approved and is soon arriving to U.S. on Monday next. She said they married in 2017, filed paperwork in 2019. Pray and wait with expectancy dear🙏🏾

@Suro Nipa the website allowed us to schedule us travel docs.com. You’re directed to the portal to create your account and it will allow scheduling once all fees have been paid. Sorry for late response. I just got an alert today. I haven’t been on here since we are now married. Good luck to you.
