As far as I know to file I485 they have be in the US. You need to file your latest I94 too.

your family cannot file Form I-485 because that form is strictly for individuals already physically present in the United States. Instead, they will obtain their Green Cards through the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in their home country. The "Following-to-Join" Process Once your I-485 is approved and you become a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR), your spouse and unmarried children under 21 are eligible to join you. Your family can usually follow to join through consular processing after your green card is approved, assuming they qualify as derivatives and visas are available. To avoid delays, keep marriage and birth certificates ready, passports valid, civil documents translated, and track your I-140/NVC process. In many employment-based cases, Form I-824 may be needed after your I-485 approval to send the case to NVC if consular processing was not already set up. Also watch CSPA/age-out issues for children.
