gc interview for 2nd year anniversary
Hey everyone! My green card interview got scheduled for July 10, which is also our 2nd wedding anniversary. Some friends are saying I might get a 10-year green card instead of the 2-year conditional one since the marriage hits the 2-year mark that day. Others suggested rescheduling just to be safe. I looked into it, and here’s what I found: ➡️ If your marriage is 2 years or more on the day of your interview or green card approval, you get a 10-year green card. ➡️ Since my interview is exactly on the 2-year mark, I should qualify for the 10-year card—as long as the officer approves it on the same day. ➡️ No need to reschedule unless the interview date was before the anniversary. I’m planning to bring a copy of our marriage certificate and just kindly mention it’s our anniversary, so there’s no confusion. If anyone else has been through something similar, I’d love to hear how it went!

if it exactly on the 2nd anniversary and approved on that day it’s a 2 year green card but if it approved the following day it’s a 10 year green card
