Frustrated
so for my I-130 it said a decision is expected in 3 weeks when I looked at the “my progress” tab on the Uscis website. Three weeks time period ended yesterday and now it doesn’t say anything except “case is taking longer than expected” my i485 shows a decision should be made in 2 months time but I feel like it’s not going to happen anytime soon. what is the point of the “myProgress” tab if the decision time shown on it is not accurate? I’ve been waiting for more than 2 years now and it’s just frustrating at this point

I hope they just take that progress tab away. Have you submitted an inquiry and tried reaching out to your congressman yet?

@Pri R yes I have submitted an inquiry, I have also reached out to my congressman who reached out on my behalf but each time their reply was “case is processing normally”

it’s ridiculous. I now got my third 6 month countdown. clearly the first and the second one wasn’t right and I’m guessing the third one isn’t either. this crap makes ZERO sense

@w s oh wow that’s absolutely ridiculous. I hope you get some good news soon. I know how hard the wait is

If your case is not complicated, you need to call them yourself every day. Ask them questions about your case, such as if there are any red flags on your case if they know how long more it will take, and things like that. Have your spouse call and tell them they are checking the status of his spouse's case. I did the same for a few people, and they got good results.

@Jawwad Kiani what’s your field office?
Pri RApr 30, 2024
@Jawwad Kiani How long ago was that because you're definitely well outside of processing times.

@keeping up the faith🇭🇹 for i130 it’s Nebraska and for i485 it’s NBC

@Jawwad Kiani I think you should give it another shot. I hope all is resolved soon for you. That's a long time!!!

@Chan Chan is that okay to call them often?

You can sue USCIS for a delayed case on your own, you will get a decision within 60 days. Do youtube search to learn more about it, and to get assistance with it "Mandamus Pro Se"

@Michelle Penaloza Yes it’s ok. when I was doing mine, I called them to expedite my work permit and they did, I kept calling them to check on my case and I got it approved in less than a year. my husband called and I used to call very often.
