Financial Aid, School and Expired Prima Facie
My financial aid Pell Grant is on hold due to an expired prima facie determination. It expired on March 11, 2023, with no updates since. My lawyer contacted the Vermont office to send a new one, but we haven't received anything from them so far. I am so sad and stressed.
I have two questions:
1- What document can I give to my school to allow me to study, like proof of being a legal non-eligible citizen?
2- Is there any way I can get access to my Pell Grant? It's literally in my student account, but my school won't distribute the funds due to the expired prima facie determination

never knew prima facie could be used for pell grant? please how did you apply?

you need Prima Facie and SSN two of them together not just one to complete FAFSA form @uchy O

your lawyer can write Vermont by showing evidence of expired prima facie and vawa receipt.
I remember of the 6 prima facie I got before approval they sent 1 a little late, like a week late and the above got sent to them.

Can my son use my prima facie for his FAFSA? he is on my VAWA application.
