It’s obvious how not using a lawyer impacted @ladyB’s case. It was pending for more that three years and she had a stokes interview. I’d rather spend money on an attorney than go through that.

Now she has to wait another 3 or 5 years to become a citizen when she could have been eligible next year

So please don’t advise people not to use lawyers, that’s an incorrect submission

cases where u have one of the parties have an history of divorce going with a lawyer is a plus. it restrains the officer from asking u irrelevant questions

Absolutely. it’s obvious how not using an experienced attorney affect @ladyB’s case. So it kind of makes me wonder why someone will still come under her post which details the intensity of her case to advise others not to use an attorney. Even if neither of you had a divorce history but other factors like you being out of status or marrying too quickly or coming on a visit visa applies to your case then definitely get an attorney

using my case as an example , things i was saying were right but the IO was making it appears as though it doesn't work that way, because after the interview most of my answers that the lady refuted,which I explained to my lawyer,he said she's sick . that maybe she was in a bad mood. I believe if I had gone in with a lawyer. the lady will restrain herself

Plz let's not advice ppl not to use a lawyer. every case is peculiar with different intricacies. in order not to compound issue jst seek a legal advice that's my take

Hahaha!!! I do! It’s painful spending thousands of dollars on a lawyer but when you sit back and imagine what could have happened if you didn’t then you will realize that it’s completely worth it

it saves your ass, no matter how dumb the lawyer cld be his/ her presence will change the atmosphere in that interview room. God has d final say but let's flip all stones and leave d rest to our creator🙏

@Rocco you sound so hash....are you an immigration Attorney? point of correction I didnt advise anybody not to use an Immigration Attorney, I did my stuff my self and that doesnt mean you should do yours by your self, as a matter of fact I have no reason to go to the immigration with any Attorney and that doesn't mean I can not afford to pay the attorney fees too but I just want on my own and did my stuff. I have 2 of my friends that used a lawyer but still they haven't gotten their stuff since 2017. my case is different from your case ok"" and I do not care if it takes me 5 or 10 years to become a citizen all I know is that am grateful to God and I pray that everyone of us here will achive our aim. please kindly keep off if you see this place as a fighting grand because we are only here to celebrate and share our problems not to abuse or use any hash word bringing in sentiments. my first interview was 2019 and the officer didnt even ask me much question but only told me that he will send my file to his boss for review which is normal regardless of who you came with.be it attorney or whatever. my second interview was 2021 lasted for 30 minutes even though we were separated but after the interview the officer took my marriage certificate and my birth certificate original copies and later sent them back to me after 2 weeks today I have my 10 years green card.🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 I have seen people that are working who started their process with attorney and still they got denied and refiled again so get it into you that the immigration doesnt care about your attorney ok....its only the grace of God ok attorney will only do what he knows what to do best but cant do otherwise. am glad I didnt use any attorney and am glad I didnt spend that money ok but I thank God for approving it at the appointed time. wishing everyone here success and breakthrough by the grace of the all mighty God.

@BA it took me 3 years to get my 10 years green card and I dont think there is anything wrong with that. my girlfriend started 2017 and was given 2years green card in 2019 and she filed in for 10years 8 months ago and she is still waiting to be approved for 10 years now I got my 10years before her so what is the difference? even with the so called attorney. we should learn how to celebrate and appreciate good news not to use abusive languages when we are celebrating with people. however thank you so much I wish you goodluck

@Rocco am good at doing paperwork and that was a credit to me when I started this process. I would have used a lawyer if I had any issue along the process but since I didnt have any issue with my filing there was no need for a lawyer to take my money ok I was always replying the immigration by my self, sending in every document they requested from me and that saves me the $3500 attorney fee ok life is not easy and we know were we came from. we cant come and be lavishing money just to pay a lawyer to do my paperwork attorney can not stop immigration from doing their job I hope you also know that Atlanta cases always take longer time because of the population

I always read about uscis

sometimes going in with a lawyer is also a red flag about your marriage because if you are sure of your spouse there is no need looking for a lawyer to go in with you.......the only time you will need a lawyer is when you see that your spouse is not responding well then you can consult a lawyer to back you up but not at the starting of the process
