how was the interview process

Congratulations . Did u raise any SR or congressional inquiry when you became current? What was the reason for the interview?

@R R @J Z Interview was long and thry basically verified all i485 information and beyond. We still are not sure what was the exact reason for the Interview. The notice asked us to carry a latest Medical, and other i485 related things that were uploaded during filing. We didn't raise any SR or congressional inquiry but we did reach out to live agent couple of times.

@N G big congratulations! Did you have to take an I485J or was it asked during the interview? Did you have to get another copy of a sealed envelope for medicals for the interview even after a medical RFE?

I don't think we carried a I485J as we are with the same employer who filed for us. Yes, we got another sealed envelope for medical during the interview as it was mentioned in our interview notice. however when we went for the interview, they said, it was not required as we had our last one done in 2024 and due to change in rule in 2023, the medical don't expire anymore. @sps s

@Be positive Yes. Interview was scheduled and they send you notice with what all documents we need to bring. The Interview lasted for almost an hour. First the primary applicant was called and then the derivatives. They basically verify a lot of things that has been mentioned in i485. I think interview gets scheduled for EB1C only if they need further verification on somethings or they need to see originals of recent documents.. like notice asked us to carry our latest w2 and our home agreement etc (not sure though).

so you submitted your medical in Feb 2024 asking because I don’t see you were sent another medical. also for Eb1c only a few were called for interview else they are asking for medical rfe to submit and moving to decision it’s quite contrary on the part they are handling for Eb1c differently
