@uros there was something filed for that on 11/8. Hopefully that also results in some positive news, link below: https://www.aila.org/advo-media/press-releases/2021/class-action-challenging-huge-uscis-processing

49 people signed up for this. Honestly, I am surprised that even that many people signed up, because of the cost. They are asking about a $1000 per plaintiff and an additional $500 per spouse or family member. Ridiculously high.

if this helps you get your EAD earlier then it has paid for itself. I also suppose that with only 49 people then USCIS might just approve these cases and hope it goes away. Perhaps it doesn’t help at all I guess that’s just the gamble they made. In a perfect world it helps everyone

J B - you're right. in most suits against USCIS that I've seen, they settled and approved the pending cases. this is not the first time they're sued for taking long with the EAD's, and the recent processing time changes resulted from previous similar suits. so, these new ones might either be rejected citing the previous suits and new processing times resulting from them and therefore superceding the 180-day rule, or they'll settle again and approve all pending cases in the suit (s). but, chances for the former are higher. not to say that the latter is impossible.
