Finally greencard on hand.
Hi all, I finally have my green card on hand. My EAD was taking forever and finally, we contacted the congressman to inquiry. after that everything went super fast. got my EAD in 1 week and interview notice soon after. The interview was smooth too. Just conversational. First, he went over our forms and updated all new addresses and employment histories. Then the officer asked how we met, who swipe right on the dating app first, how was the wedding, why no older people/ family was there ( our families don't approve of our marriage). What's the plan for the future? In the end, he asked if we have any additional proof. We gave him another big file. then he said he need to check some stuff before making a decision. About 1 hour after the interview we got approval online and one week after got the card in the mail. If you are waiting for a long time and your case is taking longer the regular processing call your Congressman or senator directly instead of inquiring yourself. cause then the senator's office will tell you to wait for their response for 30 some days which is absurd.
