Congratulations, please is the polio a new thing? I just did my medicals last month and didn’t get the polio vaccine. Just curious what kind of questions were they asking for 1hr, 3hrs.??

Yes, it was yes and no question and answer and also about charged that I had in 2020 and i explained to her that it was dismissed and she asked for the paper work and I handed it over to her.@prazzi S My Vawa was approved last year June @F A Yes, the polio vacation is new and they have been sending a lot of people back to go get it done.

@Mrkvica M. I think they are coming up with new surprises, from calling most people for interview after vawa, to sending more than one rfe after vawa approval to 485 interview lasting for hours….. I think we can’t just beat them to their game 😀😀😀I did get polio vaccine as a kid but I don’t have the record, will just go get another one if that’s what they are asking. I thought polio was for kids only though

@Mrkvica M. did you call them? How did you get to know where your case is? I’m not sure where mine is. it’s still showing Vermont center on lawfully

@dee bee I’m also Nigerian, I did my medicals sometimes in April 2024 and here are the shots I got, MMR, TDAP and Hep B. I learnt uscis is requesting for Polio now. so maybe 4 of them but you can confirm from your surgeon when you get there and remember to check the uscis website for approved surgeon in your area

@F A i called them and they told me. Not sure if that means i will def have interview. what happened with your RFE?

@Mrkvica M. let’s see how that goes. I’m yet to get the rfe but will remind my lawyer to be on the look out for it. I called uscis, was told they don’t have access to my case that it’s coming up blank at their end. I called their 8003755283. I think they usually don’t have access to Vermont cases.

@Mrkvica M. I just spoke with my lawyer. He got the mail, said he doesn’t understand what they are asking, he mentioned something in the line of affidavit of support which is weird for a vawa case. He’s saying we’ll have to schedule an info pass to go to their office. From my understanding, I know we don’t need affidavit of support for vawa. don’t know what uscis is doing.

@F A oh wow, yeah, you don't need that vawa. could it be mistake?

@Mrkvica M. I called uscis again to schedule an info pass, was told a senior officer will call back in 72hrs. I guess it’s a mistake but don’t know how to resolve it. Hopefully I can get a time to visit their office. The representative told me my case is at local office

@F A probably when officer sees this, they will figure out that is a mistake. Nothing else comes to my mind. So, you are in my position as well. Your case is in field office like in mine. I thought that NBC can only waive interviews so not sure if we'll get interview soon

@F A please keep phone next to you and answer to every phone call. You don't want to miss that phone call

@Mrkvica M. I read somewhere online that nbc can recommend interview to be waived but field office have the final say. Let’s see what they are up to.

Hi!! First of all congratulation!! I received the same thing recently...RFE for missing Polio in I-693 vaccination records. I've asked my civil surgeon corrected the missing parts on the I-693 form and he did. He added the polio records on page 12 and a follow up dates on page 4 but he didn't add a new date next to his signature (page 5) or sign/initial next to the change on I-693 and I am just concern if that's enough for USCIS... Did your civil surgeon sign/initial next to the Polio updates info on page 12 or they also just add the information and kept the rest as it was? CONGRATS again!!! Thank you!!

@Ang C Yes, all they need to do is to update the polio vaccine and out the new date but the rest can stay as they were before. I wish you all the best.
