FINALLY… DQd TODAY 🎉🥳🎉🥳🎉🥳
A little history..
PD: June 17, 2021
1st RFE: June 15, 2022 - Cancellation for RFE (Made absolutely ZERO sense)
2nd RFE: June 21, 2022 (Needed death certificate)
RFE recvd: July 13, 2022
Approval: July 21, 2022
Recvd at NVC: July 24, 2022 (logged in and paid fees same day)
Submitted docs to NVC: August 5, 2022
RFE: Sept 30, 2022 (Requesting 1099s .. I am self employed) Submitted same day.
DQd: Today November 14, 2022… 4 days after my birthday 🥳🥳
Now… To my understanding, Nairobi embassy is behind on scheduling interviews and my spouse is in Uganda. I have decided to visit him for our 2nd year anniversary as I haven’t seen him since March 2021 and we miss each other terribly…but THIS IS THE BEST NEWS 🥲🥲 and I’m more excited now about our future together.
What helped me the best to deal with this long ass wait is to STAY BUSY. Don’t check everyday, don’t even check every week if you can help it. Your will only keep your anxiety at a high level and it’s not good for your health. I’m wishing everyone all the best who are still in this process .

Nope! Not yet.. they say within 3 months but we’ll have to see..

unfortunately the wait is long! I’m CR1 DQed April 5, 2022 and still waiting on interview from Nairobi. Last couple months they were stuck at January 2022 DQs
