@favor, me and my wife had different answers many times and caused various discrepancies. my biggest problem was because I was working in Florida and my wife is in Boston. the female officer wasn’t happy about that at all. they even mentioned in the NOID it looks like a fraud 😭. I had to move to Boston right away and show them that I started working in Massachusetts. was very stressful for me. I had a good job in Florida 2 years before I got married, I was looking for something in Boston after marriage, but I get married in March 2020, lockdown Covid-19 happened the very next week. I had to stayed at my job.

@ jefff I am happy for you please can you tell me two or three question you both answered differently?
Jeff DesvolieresJun 11, 2021
they were very personal questions that had to do strictly in our situation. the interview wasn’t based on relationships between me and her. questions was tricky since she asked us both same questions but in a different way. she asked my wife when I planned to come to live in Boston, she responded in June and I said for the summer. they asked her when do I start working at my current job, she didn’t remember, she said 1 year and I said more than 2 years. she wasn’t working for the most part of 2020. they asked me when she stopped working and when she started working again, our response was different. I didn’t fully remember, cause many times she stopped and started working in different occasions during that year. they asked her who supported her during those times without working, she didn’t mention me specifically as the main helper for her, she said she had money in savings account which the account is for me and her, and she said her dad helped her a little bit. her dad helped her for real but my money and her money is in the same account. she thought they already knew that since we provided our bank statement and we filed taxes together. and different personal questions they asked that had nothing to do with our marriage, and they did the same with her. they asked about our past since we weren’t even dating each other. oufff!
Jeff DesvolieresJun 11, 2021
a lot more questions I don’t remember now, my advice would be; if you don’t remember just say “I don’t remember”. don’t try to guess, they will use your response against you. be specific and short. use very short sentence like yes/no/I don’t know or I don’t remember. if you remember answer with confidence and always remember what you answered, cause they can asked you the same question again in different way.

So after the NOID, you had to do what? second interview? additional evidence?
Jeff DesvolieresJun 11, 2021
additional evidences. I had to quit my job in Florida and moved to Massachusetts. I got a job and send them my work letter, more pictures and more details about our discrepancies. I didn’t have a lawyer in the case, after the NOID I hired a lawyer in Boston to put the response together. she made 3 letters of affidavit, one for me, one for my wife and one for both of us. and I sent letters affidavit from friends and family. and like 50 more pictures and screenshots of conversation me and my wife have on WhatsApp and iMessage.

how long did take to change the status? from interview scheduled to after after interview or it de doesn’t change when the send a ref/noid?
Jeff DesvolieresJun 11, 2021
from interview was scheduled to interview was completed and the case must be reviewed was updated the same day after the interview done on April 06th, probably 6 hours later. case updated to NOID/RFE 3 days later on April 09th. I received the letter 6 or 7 days later, they gave me 30 days to send my response. my lawyer sent response on may 05th, case updated to approved and new card are being produced yesterday June 10th.
