@Alia G it was pretty straight forward, we went prepared with extra documentation (insurance, joint bank accounts, photos, paystubs) but to start off the interview the officer was really nice she asked if we wanted our interview in Spanish or English, which we replied that English would be fine, once inside her office she asked for our ID’s, birth certificate and passports. After she revised those documents she asked us both who can tell her the story of how we met, my husband started talking about he story of how we met and I would wait for my husband to stop and I will add more details to the story. It felt really relaxed like just a normal conversation she did ask little questions about the story like (did you have mutual friends in common, etc) She said she didn’t have any questions and proceeded to ask the Yes/No questions from the i485 (the “public charge one” and the if “I violated the terms of my visa”). Once finished she says this was going to be approved and didn’t need any additional paperwork and my green card I should be getting it in 2/3 weeks, but if I wanted to show her what I brought that she could see it but it was not needed. *our lawyer before our interview did tell us that if the office that we got didn’t tell us it was approved right there on the spot not to worry because with the new Trump administration now most officers don’t have the authority to approve cases, once the interview is done the case is sent to the officers supervisor and the supervisor will be the one to approve the case, so you would have to wait after the interview for the decision, we were lucky because apparently the officer that was working on our case had tenure and could approve and didn’t need supervisors approval.
