@Tudor D did you do adjustment of status?

@Diego Carmona I think this is a consular case…

@Neel If I were you, I would start by contacting my congressman/woman and senator at the same time and ask them to inquire on your behalf. Claim hardship, financial and mental(anxiety/depression) due to separation. At this stage, you don’t have to prove it and hopefully you never will. Based on their response, if you’re not happy, write to the White House, President and VP. That’s exactly what I did, back in April, May and WH in August/September. It may help.. In my case, my wife and I have a one year old daughter and I used that. Do not send and expedited request based on financial hardship as it will negatively impact you on the next step, State Department, where you have to provide proof of income or sponsor if you’re not making 125% o US poverty level. Also, we are both same nationality/religion. In some cases, Asia/Middle Eastern tend to take longer to approve, from what I have seen on this forum. I have also continuously uploaded pictures of myself and my family, every time I went to see them. Some will tell you not to, as it tends to prolong the wait but it’s 100% not true. You’re only reaffirming your bonifide relationship. Let me know if I can be of any assistance and please don’t hesitate to ask! One more thing.. if you’re from a country that’s currently experiencing civil uprising/war, you can send an expedited request based on those circumstances. Good luck 🙏🏻

@Diego Carmona Consular Processing
Tudor DDec 4, 2023
@Neel R FYI, I had my case go from 8 months to 1 week then “taking longer to process”, then back to 3 months, 1 week, “taking longer to process”, twice.. Most cases are approved within 12 months or sometimes 11 if all the paperwork is right. My RFE was for a prior Dissolution of Marriage, which I completely forgot to upload. I uploaded it Saturday at 2am and got approved today, Monday. For everyone that reads this post, only upload your RFE response online! it’s the fastest way! Sending in via mail and digital upload might delay your case if the adjudication officer takes longer to go over the evidence as it will show evidence logged in via mail system as well, once received
