filing date
Hello everyone.im highly disappointed from February visa bulletin. idk what’s really going on with eb3 unskilled. I just don’t understand what was the point of making it “current “ in 2021 till mid 2022 if it was going back to retrogression now. I feel so annoyed because I have to maintain my f1 and can’t file for AOS due to filing date keeping moving backwards. it’s been almost a year my I-140 is approved (pd 07/22) and I’m still waiting just to apply for EAD & I-485. I am so clueless and worried. can someone tell me if the filing date will move forward or there is just no hope. Thank you

That was due to covid no one was filing, in short supply was more than demand. When everything else opened up demand exceeded than supply

You should wait for October 2024 when a new fiscal year 2025 starts to see some major changes. it has been consistently slow due to the decreasing in visa availability per year.

Hi @sam young since your i140 is approved and you’ve been waiting for more than 2 years to file i485, how are you planning to maintain your status? do you think it is easy to join college again after your i140 is approved and can we do AOS in this case again?

@Alex T I’m still in college so yes I still have my f1 status. Yes you can join any college to maintain your F1 status until you I-485 is filled with USCIS for AOS. I-140 approved doesn’t effect anything but for AOS you need to have a valid status. once your I-485 is filled then you can drop your F1 status if you want. A lot of my friends have done that and got their GC
