Hi Teresa! I'm glad to read that you filed your appeal/motion.
Yes, you will receive a receipt notice within 1-3 weeks with it's own case number. I hope this helps!
I trust God to grant you an approval soon!

@OO_ 2021 yes!! I am going for it.. it has been over a month and not heard anything so trying to contact them

Ok, call the USCIS service line. After the automated voice blabs, say info pass
input any case number you have just to get you connected to a Live agent and then you can explain your actual situation.

@OO_ 2021 , when you receive such receipt notice for I-290B, does it mean your AOS EAD and AP remains valid??

@FlyHigh ❤️
The I-290B is by itself, not particularly a determinant until a decision is made on it.
Therefore your EAD and AP remains valid until a decision is made on the concurrently filed I-485 (AOS). If the AOS is later denied prior to conclusion of the I-290B, then the accompanying EAD and AP would be revoked which strips one of their employment and travel ability.
Although, during the I-290B process (even though the AOS isn't yet decided upon), I don't advise leaving the country with the AP until all is settled after the appeal/motion. I hope this clarifies things.
I shared my experience in my timeline in detail. Feel free to read it.
