Feeling defeated
Spoke to a live agent through Emma on the website today. They told me my interview was waived in September, before I sent over my response to RFE with medical form and full tax return documentation for my wife and sponsor on october 25. A week after they received it, on november 02 an officer worked on my case for the last time. It’s been four months. I can’t help but think there’s something wrong there. If they worked on my case a week later, saw the tax information and my medical, and interview waived why wouldn’t it be approved? 4 months later and no update at all? Please let me know if you’ve had a similar experience and how it went. I rely on this community to vent, because no one around me wants to hear it anymore. I know patience is key but I am feeling so so tired.

a lot of times they receive your response but still have to wait for other thing to clear like background check, and also there are other cases that they are working on before yours. I don’t mean to discourage you, but also wanted to point out that ‘interview waived’ sometimes means they change their mind and decide to give you and interview. the waiting is painful but please consider to do something else to distract you from this

Denis I’m not here to belittle anybody’s experience. Sure, there are people who have been waiting several years and they’re entitled to their feelings about their case. In the other hand we’ve seen people in this community get approved in 45 days. Everybody is allowed to feel some type of way in regards to their timeline. Maybe it’s time to stop contributing to the narrative that only people with 500+ days should be feeling anxious.

@the three time AR lost hoper thank you for your comment. yes, i’m aware they might change their mind and schedule an interview. i’m just feeling anxious about everything because i was told my case was straightforward and i filed it myself. so the wait is making me question if i did something wrong. i’m trying my best to keep myself busy and patient but some days are harder than others. everybody is suffering with processing times, and this is a great tool to bring people together when they need to vent. some people in here are just so rude for no reason

sure it takes a while and you have the right to feel tired or anxious. but I’m pretty sure you know that this could take around 11 to 18 months in general. hope you’re approved soon.

exact same experience. I sent my RFIE in on October 17th and zero updates since then. I’ve been told someone looked at my case 2x but no idea what they’re doing with it. maybe using it as a coaster?

@denis da Silva I totally agree with. People on this app act so entitled. Like their application is the only one that USCIS has. They forget that USCIS processed 10 Million applications last year,

@denis da Silva someone else’s bad experience doesn’t mean others have to suffer, I can tell your self centered from your pic, no one gives a rats ass about your arms

I totally understand how you feel coz we have the same situation , straight forward case, filed without a lawyer, thought everything should be fine but just endless waiting and waiting . I cried over nothing because this stupid waiting means nothing to other people only affecting ourselves as the beneficiary. I waited 400 days and I really hope that you will get your approval soon. best wishes to you
