family-based green card approved at DC office
sent out the application on April 12, 2021 received green card today, April 11, 2022. -interview- The officer was nice, here are some questions she asked: (that I still remember) dates of my entries and the reason how and when I met my husband the basic timeline of how our relationship develops when did we start living together how was our wedding do we plan to buy a house in the future do we plan to have kids I followed the notice and prepared a folder with the front page that listed everything in order. I also printed out 34 photos that captured important moments in our lives. The interview was 15-20 minutes long and we were approved the same day after we left. sharing my timeline with you all. #WashingtonDC #NBC #noexpedite

did you get approved on the day of the interview? still a little unclear

@noor shah, I got approved the same day I had my interview. I was following Lawfully’s timeline before but I was very stressed and worried if I was behind or such. so after I got my work permit last year in November, I didn’t check the timeline anymore. As long as I am not out of the timeline, I tried to focus on something else. So I would say for my combo card, the timeline was quite accurate. But I’m not sure about afterwards as I decided to have the mental break and focus on work.

@noor shah, no worries at all. it is a bit confusing on Lawfully. In the timeline, the “interview” on August 13 means “ready to be scheduled interview”, not my actual interview date. I waited until March 2022 to receive my notice said my interview is finally scheduled on April 2nd. If you had your interview in December already, maybe you should follow up with them to see if they ask for more documents or what’s going on. I hope this helps.

Vicky HApr 12, 2022
@Edwin chagz, my case is “ready to schedule an interview” on August 13, “interview is scheduled” on March 4, my interview was on April 2nd.
