F2A PD 07/21/2023 (F1visa and I-20 expired after filling)
I had my I-485 interview today. We filed I130&I485 concorrently and I 130 was approved in 2023. The officer was very kind and understanding. He talked about how difficult it has been to be away from my family for such a long time, and I became emotional during the interview. The officer did not ask any questions related to consular processing or why I chose to adjust status in the United States instead of applying abroad. He also noticed that my biometrics had expired and said that instead of sending an RFE, it would be easier to take care of it today. I was able to complete new biometrics right after the interview. At the end, the officer said, "It looks good to me, even if I want to approve right now I can't approve it right away because I need approvals from supervisors." PS: The questions I was asked were very straightforward: When did you first and last enter the United States? What visa did you use to enter the United States? How did you meet your husband? Few of the yes or no questions That was essentially the entire interview. Also I corrected public charge question since I answered "No" instead of "Yes." Feeling hopeful and grateful after a long journey!
