According to CSPA you will subtract the time that your petition was pending from your age when the I130 was approved so chances are
you will stay in the F2A category. for example, if your age is 21 years and 2 months and your petition was pending for 6 months, your CSPA age would be 20 years and 8 months which will still place you in the F2A category. Just ensure that you apply for the visa within one year of I130 approval and your petitioner does not naturalize until you get your green card.

if you don’t want to switch to F2A because of wait time you can opt out. you just have to send the letter to USCIS that you opt out to change your category to F2A. I was in the same boat.
