F2A I-130 Approved
Hi everyone!
After 3+ years of waiting, my F2A I-130 was Approved on February 18th (yesterday)!
What was funny was that February 17th (the day before) I received a "Case is still being processed" update. Then 1 day later it was approved early morning on February 18th.
*For Reference, this is my timeline and info:*
Priority Date: January 4, 2023
Service Center: Nebraska (previously California)
Country: Bahamas
NO request for additional info (RFE)
*timeline:*
January 4, 2023: Petition received
June 1, 2023: Case activity being reviewed
February 17, 2026: Case is still being processed by USCIS
February 18, 2026: Case Approved.
Now, on to the NVC stage.
I am hoping the Visa Pause is lifted by the time my interview is scheduled.
WISHING APPROVALS FOR EVERYONE STILL WAITING 🤞

@FNU ashish kumar yes, that calculation is about right. I calculated mine to February, when saw several approvals in December for PR dates in late October and November.

@Vanou Dzali to my understanding, USCIS and the Visa consulates (embassy) are two different departments. USCIS will operate as normal; however, the issuance of Visas under consular mandates is different. In short, Immigration (USCIS) is still processing immigrant applications, they are not affected by the Visa pause. However, once we get approved from USCIS, our documents and case go over to the National Visa Center (NVC), then we will be affected by the visa pause.
