F2A Green Card Interview in Frankfurt, Germany.
I had my Green Card Interview today (Dec 02, 2024).
I arrived at the consulate at 7:45 AM and waited in line until 8:24 AM, when I received a numbered ticket. After that, I went through security and proceeded to the next building.
In the second building, I waited from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM, when my number was called. At the first window, I submitted my passport, marriage certificate, birth certificate, police records and the sponsor’s tax returns. Then, I had to wait again until 11:35 AM, when my number was called a second time.
At the next window, I took an oath and provided my fingerprints again. The officer asked me the following questions:
1. When we got married & whether it was our first marriage.
2. The month we got married & if we have children.
3. How we met.
4. What my husband does for work.
After answering these questions, I was informed that my application was approved, and I would receive it within two weeks.

congrats on the good news! how long did it take you to get interviewed after being DQed, i am in kind of a similar situation and will be waiting for my visa interview in Stockholm soonish

@Svea 🌼 I’ll hope that too! My advice is that you bring the documents you uploaded and for the tax returns you should also bring updated one from 2023/2024 if you have them. I guess you won’t have the 2024 by then, but 2023 should be fine I think. But I‘m no lawyer so, I don’t know.
I had the tax returns with me which I uploaded and I had the ones from 2023 also with me because they asked me if I also brought updated ones.

so I got DQ on Jan 18, 2023. I also got an e-mail which said that I should get an interview letter within 3 months but after 3 months I got the same email again and right after that the Visa Bulletin jumped back 4 years 🥲 so I wasn’t current anymore… I had to wait again till VB shows that I‘m current, which happend with the November VB of this year (2024)! I got my interview letter even before November, they gave it to me end of October and yeah :)

@Sarah Wehkamp congrats! so u saying that your date become current in November visa bulletin but you received your interview letter before November start? I am expected for my date become current in january visa bulletin,hoping i get my interview letter in Dec for January 🙏

I can recommend praying specifically about what you want to happen!
I prayed yesterday that I wanna find a good parking spot near the consulate, that the people there are friendly & that I hope that my interview is short and not so hard questions. And let me tell you, every single thing I prayed for happened! I got a parking spot right infront of the consulate entrance, the people there were super friendly and the interviewer was super nice too and asked me the questions I wrote above and that was it! 🥹 I was so thankful.
