Hi folks. I filed for my wife on October 21,2022 at California service center. Im a permanent resident now. For the last year and change, the tab under the myProgress on USCIS website showed the message “your case is taking longer than expected “. Today when I checked in the morning it says estimated time until case decision as “ 4 weeks”. Does that mean anything? Should I get excited? Hoping for some good news soon!

Doesn’t mean anything to them. But, it means a lot to us. My case has been “3 weeks” for the last 3 months until now. We just have to have long patience. Keep on believing that one day, soon, this will be over and done with.

I keep providing this information(time to decision timer) to my wife. it kind of gives her some reassurance. I don’t know what I will tell her when they reset the timer to (“taking longer than..”).

Our PD is Sept 22' and we're also with the California Service Center. Our Progress Tab has counted down at least 4 times already. That thing is notoriously inaccurate.
