I am in the USA petitioning for my wife outside of the USA they asked me basic questions, how did we meet, when… after that I was asked to provide birth certificates for both of us and affidavit of support from friends and family who know about the relationship

Congratulations! I’m in a very similar F2A consular case and was also scheduled for a petitioner-only interview while my spouse remains abroad. What questions did they ask, how long did it last, and what documents did you bring? Did the officer give you any indication at the end that approval was likely? did they ask anything about your time spent outside the United States or your ties to the U.S., or was the interview focused only on your marriage and relationship?

soft approval when you get the approval notice in your documents but your status did not change yet

that’s good news hopefully you will be approved soon what they asked me was birth certificates and affidavits of support from friends and family they ask how long we know each other, when did we get married, who was there, I brought pictures, messages, call logs, ticket trips, money transferts, the interview was focused on my relationship even thought she asked about my background when did I came to the us the interview was also quick maybe 30 min after that she told me to upload the requested documents and that was it

@Hamza Qayyum yes I defined my case and explain my situation in the inquiry and insisted in the fact that it’s over 3 years already and that I did not have any update since

DebK , but everyone define their situation and explain their long wait over 3 years in the senate inquiry but mostly say their response is cut copy paste. In my opinion I think you used any medical excuse other wise it’s impossible that Senator can do anything in now days
