Way too long. You can sue USCIS for a delayed case on your own, you will get a decision within 60 days. Do youtube search to learn more about it, and to get assistance with it "Writ of Mandamus Pro Se"

@A J thank you 🙏 but in reality this writ can be filed only if the term is concideravly exceeded. the term that is shown at the webpage for the relevant service Center. if I’m not mistaken

1. There are no laws preventing you to suing even within 1 month of applying. It does NOT have to be outside normal processing times!
2. USCIS times is internal, nothing to do with Federal laws! Where most laws stated within 6 month USCIS needs to make a decision.
3. All depends on your current suffering because of the pending case, and the quality of your case.
