@Suprima Raut Yes, he is in US on F-1. Also, while contacting our congressman, we requested to inquire about the case and NOT expedite it.

so @Lee peralta it’s easy you just have search through google, type your address and search which congressional district you are in. It will also say who represents it. Then you can search his/her/their name which also has a ph no. Then you can call them to inquire abt the next step.

@Suprima Raut I sent it 2 weeks prior, but I haven’t receive their response. I believe my congressmen asked USCIS and while checking my case, they approved it even before answering us back (just a theory) or coincidentally approved at the time we filed this.

Congrats! Did you I-130 get approved or an update on I-485? My kid's PD is Feb 2023 with I-130 already approved.

@ yash Patel, congrats to you and yours. my husband a permanent green card holder, filed for myself and daughter who just turned 18. my priority date July 2023. My case Nebraska service center. when I visited uscis site online it still shows case processing. I reach out to uscis via online chat and they indicated that i can only send messages by November 21st 2026. I would like to reach out to the congressman in baltimore about this because my case is stand still atm. we uploaded all relevant documents that was required. uscis also indicated they have everything thus far. my thing is why this delay. 🇹🇹 Any information you can relay wld be great thanks

@KS NG I agree to your point. it was the same with my son’s case. so I would certainly say that you would be better off by contacting your congressman. secondly, for your question about delay, I have to say that because there are cases which are being approved from September 2022 to January 2023 you would have a few months wait before yours and your daughter case gets approved. I would say it takes them 2-3 months max to reach July 2023. This is just my thoughts but I wish they approve much sooner. Also to mention is follow F2A group on Reddit because they are a wonderful help during this journey if you are not following.

first of all , congratulations 🎈, ik its so frustrating when they takes so long , im on same boat my son pd got approved but he is 24 years old thats why category F2B , luckily he got approved last week but pd its not current yet thats why he cang file i485 too and he is inside since 2021 on F1 (student visa) can you suggest me me should i contact then will i able get to apply for i485 or interview? thanks

@Md Alvi Hi, congrats on your son’s I-130 approval. Next on your question about the filing of I-485, you have to see the second table (Dates for filing), if his PD is before the cutoff date listed on Table 2 then file it immediately. I can’t say anything about if USCIS can take his I-485 case before his PD has become current under Dates of filing. Also, because I have limited knowledge about F2B, I can’t give you any good advise. But still you can contact your local congressmen if they can help you (expedite on urgency basis) + follow any F2B coummunity groups which can also help a ton with your case. I am sorry I can’t give you advice which I don’t have any understanding of. I hope he gets approval soon and all the best!!
