expedite EAD for MD residency?
Hi. need some more info here. I’m the main petitioner but my wife currently L2 Ead is a acreddited MD(physician) been accepted in a residency. problem is. they said can’t have the EAD based in L2 so I tried ro expedite but emma already mentioned that if it’s not in 30 days expiration will most probably be denied. her L2 EAD is good thru may,2023 and we are waiting on combo card. anyone know who is right on this/wrong on this and if our case is the one that can be expedite? i saw some others MD that were abel to expedite for residency but they are the main petitioner

Hi! Expedeting requests are totally dependent on the officer who reviews the request. I tried to expedite my EAD with the same reason (currently on H-1B and as the primary), unfortunately it was denied twice. However, nowadays USCIS opened up a new category for essential healthcare workers and your wife might have a better chance. Also, if she will be working with Covid cases actively, it is important to mention it in the support document for your request.
