expedite
does anyone know if I can use an eviction notice as an evidence of financial crisis to ask for expedite on my i130?

I wouldn’t because it will definitely interfere with your affidavit of support.. you need to clearly show financial proof that you can financially support your spouse/childred/etc. Also, cant be below poverty minimums which nowadays are at $14,580 yearly income.
I wanted to show a substantial financial loss due to my wife and American daughter being away in Europe but I was advised not to do it because of the next step, which, again, we need to show financialp stability..

@Tudor D good insight, I was actually on the fence as I am having to maintain a household in the US and another household for my spouse in her country and I tell you it ain't a joke financial as it doubling everything which is interesting that the USCIS does not consider this a financial hardship for the petitioner to have to sustain to homes not for few weeks but months even years

@R B I’m in exactly the same situation as you. I know how hard it is, yet if you claim it and bring actual evidence of going broke, it affects you adversely at the NVC level..
Trust me, I feel your pain man.. I went through close to $70-80k in a year.. 🤦🏻♂️

@R B If you really want to expedite the case, go see a psychiatrist that has experience in dealing with “immigration”.. I’m sure you have tons of mental issues due to separării anxietyy, depression, even suicidal thoughts..

Don’t do it. It will demonstrate that you are likely to be a burden to the welfare system, and therefore can negatively impact your application

@R B I just looked at your profile and you filed 2 days before me. Judging from my analysis of cases being approved this year, you and I are looking at an approval sometime in November, December before the holidays the latest. If you’re not approved by then, by all means go see a doctor. I intend to do the same. Also, expedited requests from Senators, Congressmen and the White House do not work 99% of the time, from my experience, unless a devastating consequences apply to your case.

@Tudor D tell me about it just the cost of airline tickets for both of us to meet few times a year in another country alone adds up........I even tried expediting by reaching out to my state Senator on the basis that I am Veteran but USCIS did not think my disability counts as a legit reason to expedite....I mean I have seen things and been through long deployments but it's different when you trying to make a family
yea I agree with your analysis mine was close to what you came up with between end of Oct to end of Nov based on the approval from TX Service Center atleast

@R B Thank you for your service! This is one of the things I will never understand about this country… You give your life in the name of freedom and democracy and in the end, it means nothing! It’s appalling from every aspect! No priority for servicemen or families with newborns or toddlers. That’s our government! Yet they allow millions of undocumented immigrants, most of which are career criminals to just walk in and deplete our resources. Luckily the senior running this country has finally realized that building the wall is the only way to prevent this mass illegal migration.
I know a doctor at the Jesse Brown VA in Chicago, if I can help you in any way, with what I’ve mentioned above, please let me know. Prayers your case get solved soon, you deserve it after putting your life on the line for this godforsaken country.

thank you so much @Tudor D, I understand and agree with you but what do you think about sponsorship too? can’t I have someone to sponsor if they approve? because I have two toddlers-twins and it really hard to work even 40 hours a week. only God knows how much I need him here 😭
Tudor DOct 6, 2023
@God’s favorite one Unfortunately, as far as I know, you will need a sponsor.. Take a look at the requirements listed here. For your household size, you, twins and husband, the threshold is at $37,500.

okay thank you @Tudor D

@God’s favorite one The only exception for affidavit of support is I the case of self petitioning VAWA.. (violence against women act) battered spouses, sex trafficking victims, etc..
