Estimated time
I'm confused by the website estimated time, my pd is Dec 2024, I'm currently awaiting 1-485, CR-1. The estimated time on my portal was saying 12 months since I applied, checked today it's gone up to 15 months. I'm confused as I'm seeing a lot of persons from 2025 either approved already or have an interview scheduled. My husband is also in the military is there anyone here in or been through the similar situation??

@Rae Xander average time for i-130 cr-1 approval is 12-14 months.

@Waseem Akhter never did I-130, as I came on 1-129F last year so we just had to file 1-485

I did mine in October 2023 and I just got approved April of 2025. you are within normal processing time. you can also have the military give uscis a call, that’s what my friend did and she got an update right after. call around and ask questions. good luck

@Rae Xander @Nessa eg I honestly think it's based on your field office and the waiting period there. It seems some field offices have a backlog while others don't. I think that explains why some people are able to see faster processing times than others. I've seen people with PD dates after me done interviews and got either i485 or i130 approved already.

@Rae Xander more or less it would be the field office closest to where you live. you can use the uscis website to estimate the processing time of that field office to get a general idea of what's going on there. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ Also, check your document tab on the uscis website to see what information or document exist there. 3rd option. Ask Emma where your field office is to find out where your documents are.
