Entry change and A#
Last month I realized I put the wrong date for my wife’s date of entry on the I130 we submitted late January. I tried calling but the automated system kept taking me in circles and insistig I submit online. The most relevant option I found was “typographical error” though that is for errors THEY made on documents so I did that anyway and chose “other” as the option. I was supposed to hear back by April 24 but still haven’t and don’t know where to look up the status of the request ID # I was given.
is this the right way to correct the info and avoid further delays? if so, how can I check on that status if I was supposed to receive a response a week ago?
Also, where do we find her A#? is that something we get only after she’s approved?

Thanks. I’ll call and try.
As for the A#, I applied in January and all I’ve received in the mail is Form I-797C, Notice of Action which only contains a receipt number and no A#. I already had an online account since I filled out the I-130 online. I checked there too and never saw it. Anywhere else you know I can look?
