embassy interview appointment question
Does anyone have experience that once NVC sent the cade to embassy, embassy states it is the applicant to schedule the appointment?
I had asked embassy thru Ustraveldocs.com whether the interview date had been scheduled and the reply was that I needed to schedule it on the ustraveldocs portal. Long story short : I have been checking every day morning and afternoon trying to set the date and I always get a message saying there are no dates available. I have tried selecting other visa categories (niv) and there are dates for those, but not for IV category E21 (eb2) . Any prior experiences? ideas?

Hi, from what I know, for EB cases, the embassy schedules the interview appointment and sends the applicant the invite. But your PD has to be current before this would happen. For NIV cases, the applicant schedules the interview but for IV cases, the embassy does. I hope this helps.

@Ken 09 that is what I had known, for IV it was embassy that schedules. my PD is current. the ustraveldocs.com seems to be a third party staff and Im afraid they tell me to schedule it , but embassy is supposed to. I cant find how to ask the actual embassy to clarify.

@enrique galeano The best option is to wait until you receive the interview invite from the embassy. Depending on the backlog of the embassy, you may have to wait a while to get an interview date. What embassy is your case at?

its the embassy in Honduras. thats what I am afraid, that it really is me to set the date per ustraveldocs, which is contrary to what we know is for EB2 visas being set by embassy.

@enrique galeano Don't worry about ustraveldocs, just be patient. You'll get your invite. You can place a call directly to your embassy to clarify or submit an inquiry on the NVC website for further clarification.
