Hello everyone,
Has anyone left the job after completing 1 year contract even though I485 is still pending? my interview is already done and don’t want to continue working with current employer. Can anyone suggest what steps should we take after leaving the job?

why to leave the job right now? You are almost there to complete your process. Hang on till you get your Green card in the mailbox.

it’s not legal advice. by the law you can change your sponsor after 180 days. however it might cause extra paperwork to you and raise questions during the interview. I am in the same situation like you. and I still haven’t quit. trying to hang on as much as I can.
