EB3 i485 Approved! TSC/NBC/Brooklyn FO
Finally after a long wait, my EB3 Green Card was finally approved and I received it in the mail today. Words can’t express how relieved and happy I feel after all these years of wait and uncertainty. Let me know if you have any questions, I used to check this forum almost everyday lately, so I feel the struggle. My overall green card process took about 3.5 years since PWD filing but that was because I had to restart it a year into the process. After the case moved out of TSC, things moved quite fast. Hope this info is useful for anyone looking. My i485 application was sent along with i140 premium processing for concurrent processing to Texas Service Center and they were received on 08/03/2021. i140 got approved within 15 days. But after that, until two weeks ago, my online status was stuck at “Case was received”. On May 24 2022, I was mailed a Medical RFE from Brooklyn FO. I didn’t receive any notifications regarding my case transfer online or in mail which was strange. I’m assuming it went from TSC to NBC to Brooklyn FO but that’s my guess. My Medical RFE response was delivered to FO on June 17th. and after that, on June 28th and June 30th I received two notifications regarding my case being transferred back to NBC (Assuming this was for final approval since the mailed letter said preliminary review was completed). After that things moved fast which you can see below in timeline. Within 7 days after July 3rd, the status moved through “Card is being produced”, “Case was Approved”, “Card was mailed”, “USPS picked up” and delivered today a while ago. Thank you so much everyone for sharing your experiences, it made the wait a little more tolerable.

Your priority date is nov 16, 2020?

@luiz @bb @fabiano My perm was submitted on November 2020. I’m assuming that’s the date which is considered as priority date.

that’s really weird they would approve it before the priority date is current. But nonetheless, congratulations buddy if you can, please ask your attorney if case approval before priority date is current is actually something uscis does.
Anton AntonJul 9, 2022
Oh wait my priority date is current (at least what I mean is people from my nationality can concurrent file i140 &i485 due to low number of filers). If my date wasn’t current, I wouldn’t be able to apply for i485 in the first place. Isn’t that true?
