EB2-NIW
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share my experience/timeline.
I-140 submitted on 11/4/2019 (Nesbraska).
Case was approved on 9/1/2020.
I-485 submitted on 8/3/2020 (NBC).
Biometrics for the EAD/AP done on 10/6/2020 (Spokane, WA).
They sent me another Biometrics appointment for the I-485 for some reasons.
Biometrics for I-485 done on 1/12/2021 (Spokane, WA).
Case was approved today on 6/4/2021.
Apparently, they waived the interview step.

hi my case is with NBC too receipt no MSC do they completely deal with asylum based i485
Millie BMJun 5, 2021
You mean that NBC only deals with I-485 asylum or they don't at all? My greencard is employment-based though. So I don't know if I can help you.

yes my question is NBC does it deal with asylum or they send case to local office for asylum basesd GC?
Millie BMJun 5, 2021
Oh, I see what you mean. Ok, here is what I found on a lawyer's website:
"The NBC’s mission is to process applications that are to be sent to a local service center for interview.
Each application (work authorization, travel document, spouse visa and green card application) is assigned a case number. The NBC was originally called the Missouri Service Center, so the first three letters of the case number are always MSC. The non-citizen spouse also receives an alien identification number (A#).
The NBC conducts a more thorough review of the application. If information or evidence is missing, the NBC sends out a request for evidence."
Based on that NBC checks all cases before sending them to the local field offices which then schedule the interviews.

hi Millie! thanks for sharing! did you send your medicals with your 485? congratulations!
Millie BMJun 5, 2021
Yes, I sent my medical with I-485!
M AJun 5, 2021
@Millie BM. congratulations for getting your GC.
Did you submit the 485 before 140 got approved?
when did get the EAD? and when did submit 693?
Millie BMJun 5, 2021
Hi M A! Thank you! Yes I submitted my I-485 a month before my I-140 was approved. I got my EAD on 1/17/2021 (really short after I got my second biometrics appointment). I submitted the I-693 with my I-485, I-131 and I-765 so on 8/3/2020.
M AJun 5, 2021
you are lucky! we are the same state (WA) and close of the timeline.
I got approved for 140 in 09/18/2020
I did submit to MSC the 485/765/131 oct/09/2020
in 12/11/2020 done the biometric
03/25/2021. received RFE for the medical exam
4/14/2021 USCIS received my respons to the RFE
I’m still waiting for EAD.
right now I don’t have a job, Coz of work permit
Millie BMJun 5, 2021
@M A If you had asked me two days ago, I would have told you that my case was taking the longest time. I have a friend in Chicago, she got her I-140 and I-485 approved in less than a year! But yes, I guess I got lucky. Yeah, not having the EAD and not being able to work suck. I wpuls have been on a J-1 visa until September. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, I'm sure it will be soon if my case got approved, yours should follow soon! 🤞🏼

congratulations @ Millie! My I-140 EB2-NIW (PD 03/05/2020) was approved on 11/09/2020. On 12/03/202, USCIS received my AOS packet with those of my spouse and two daughters. It was receipted on 03/11/21, I requested expedited processing of my EAD afterwards but I received a response that we are in line to be scheduled for biometrics which we completed on 05/21/21. My EAD was approved on 06/04/21 after I put in a second ER. I haven’t received any RFE as at today. I also included our medicals with the application. Waiting to hear the good news soon!
OSK 1315Jun 5, 2021
@MA, if you have completed your biometrics, you can request expedited processing of your EAD. My application is being processed at the NBC too. You can call a tier 1 officer or Emma chat to place your request. Good luck to you!
M AJun 5, 2021
@ Millie thank you for your answer. I hope the interview will get wavier as you!
M AJun 5, 2021
@Daniel thank for your advice, but my attorney did that on behalf of me last week and USCIS said still within process time!

you send your case to nebraska address?
Millie BMJun 5, 2021
Hi @Daniel Ekoh! Thank you! Yes, our timelines are pretty similar. Keeping my fingers crossed for you and your family. Lawfully was telling me that I had 26% chances of getting approved between January 29th and April 29th, and then 20% between April 30th and July 29th so their predictions were not completely off. You have your EAD to be able to continue working so that's less stressful. Hopefully, the next one to post about their case approval will be you 🤞🏼
Millie BMJun 5, 2021
@Bibi Atosco Thank you!!
Millie BMJun 5, 2021
@ligeiro fast No, my lawyer sent my case to Texas (if I remember correctly everyone has to send their package to the sorting center in Texas) then Texas forwarded it to Nebraska since cases of people living in WA are forwarded to Nebraska center.
Oh, unless you were talking about the I-485 (AOS)? This one, I sent it to Phoenix, then Phoenix sent it to NBC (National Benefits center in Missouri).
