when is your filing date and did you already submit medical RFE ?

nov 2022 alongwith medical . haven’t heard back any , even if the medical expired they should have sent the rfe in past 3-4 months

For May 2022 and based on the cases ahead of us ,you will get approval by Sep 2026

@GC Check what logic is based on the outcome ? I saw many with later PDs get approved

@ r p there is surely no logic, people try to guess a pessimistic outcome as a shield. In reality there is no logic of medical rfe few get it few don’t entirely depends on the officer. Any date where the PD became current recently and if everything else including biometrics etc are done with CRP status can see updates from now onwards . won’t be a surprise if you see approval/ card being produced next week. most probably by Mid March for all . there are complicated cases and that don’t count.

@love tomar @R P nearly 10 k cases till Dec 2022 is pending for GC based on USCIS inventory so yes it’s my guess work an I hope I will be wrong and will get approval soon

@GC Check yes the numbers are correct but those 10k have an internal visa number available to be issued against them so technically they are ok to be approved as soon as someone opens the file. Thats the reason PD moved. Every month 18k GC are issued, there is no first come first serve and the internal visa allocation is all done in batches. So those 10K odd can be done in 15 days as well. If there is rule where only 1K would be issued every month - I am not aware of. I have even seen cases from Oct 22 approved last week without any medical rfe. So everything moving real fast and hence my optimism.

@love tomar I hope what you explained is correct and will get approval soon,My PD is Nov 2022 and I resubmitted my medical in Oct 2025 after I received RFE so lets hope my case will get approved in next 2-3 months

@GC Check, it is surprising you got rfe for medicals in Oct 2025. your date was not current that time. Did you update something around that time to activate your case?

@love tomar, @GC Check, 18K GCs are issued monthly but those are WW numbers. For India, they might keep some cap and they might go slow to only use overflow GCs from ROW. Surely they have signs of overflow and hence date moved so much in a month - still they might act slower to be safe. Mostly I see that active cases (and not needing RFE) are getting processed now. I hope they get to "Case Remains Pending" category and issue RFEs sooner. Not heard even single person getting RFE for medical since December 2025 on these communities.

I can’t predict the movements from the data I see as many 24 and 25 filings get approved mostly because they had earlier PDs. but I can say if you have filing in Dec 2022 and had earlier PD most likely they are getting approved

seems approvals have slowed down.
