@Retired Ninja I sent my stuff over there but they turned around and sent my renewals to Vermont both AP & EAD.

@Katrona Farrington you get automatic extension for your EAD and you can continue working while that extension lasts

@Katrona Farrington it says on your receipts. USCIS doesn't hide anything. They explained everything on those receipts. Sorry 😔

unfortunately they never sent the receipt till March and it was too late...I never even read those🤦‍♀️

@Katrona Farrington I filed renewal C09 January 8, 2024 and because I don’t want to loose my job, I had to expedite my work permit with my work acceptance letter,apartment lease,electric bills and make sure the amount are showing on those bills then I wrote a letter explaining my situation and I also include my EAC number which is my renewal receipt number,and at the end of the letter I put my full name and dated it then send all the proof of me needing it or I will be homeless, I submitted it Tuesday and Friday approved then same day new card is being produced and the following Tuesday card has being mailed to me and it was 5yrs work permits which the old one will expire September 5th which is next week

@Katrona Farrington you should ge soon. I applied for my Work Permit renewal on January 29th of 2024 I didn’t get my receipt until April 23 after my lawyer sent an inquiry to the USCIS. I received a notification that said:case transferred to another office on June 09 and august 22: new card is being produced and august 23: case was approved and august 26: card was mailed to me.

@God’s daughter I sent them my renewal back in November with a letter from job stating my jobs contingency is based on my renewal. The letter, bills, lease etc.... More so an expedite request. My status changed on the vawa stating that my correspondence was received etc... and the 485 updated to "your case is being actively reviewed"

it is especially in Fl last time I tried to use my PF to renew my DL and they didn’t even want to use it to renew my DL so I had to use my tps that was going to be expired in a month. SMH

you’re going to get approved for ur GC soon because they are working on it

I’ve applied since October 2021 I haven’t even get an update on my VAWA application nor GC application.

@Katrona Farrington yes hand write letter is the best not typing but Goodnews is coming soon, it’s scary when one loose their job and start living from hand to mouth(asking people for help) soon I hope to hear the goodnews of your approved renewal work permit.

it shouldn’t be a problem even if you handwritten it or not as long as you signed the letter.

when did you filed ? mine was Feb 05 2024 and there is lots of waiting from Feb 2024 and every one expecting approval by this month because of waiting period 7.5 months so I hope we will get and others will get approval. we pray for god 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
