i believe they are going off of your extension, they should provide before it expires. 2024 is a long wait, did mine jan 2025 still no response as well, i have about 6 months before my extension expires as well. i hope it is approved before then.

@samuel dani The Advance Paroll has been approved, it took 12 months for it to be approved but the EAD is taking forever and I have expedite the EAD renewal application

@OLORUNTOBILOBA ADEWUNMI I have 3months before the extension ends, I would suggest that start expediting it now before I get close to your EAD extension end date

mine has been pending since dec 2024. congress contacted them and they responded stating the adjudication pause in effect due to security risks.

@ob o I didn’t realize the pause also affects those of us who applied here in the U.S. I thought it only applied to people submitting applications from outside the country. is there any action you have taken in order to still keep your job when your EAD extension expires? how long did it taks you to get response when you contacted the congressman?

@kim avra i am surprised you didnt know this. you should be constantly updating yourself wirh immigration issues since you are in the process. pls read up on it. the adjudication pause affects 39countries. 20 full ban and 19 partially banned. all adjustments of status for rhese countries have been put on hold due ro high security risks for these countries- to be reevaluated in march this year. All lawyers and major news outlets carried this news. this pause has been in effect since dec. then theres another pause affecting non immigrant visas for 75 countries ( that is the one affecting people filing from outside america). my advice- follow a well established immigration lawyer on tiktok and instagram and a good/ trustworthy immigration news outlet and stay informed.

theres no action you can take, you can only pray hope and save. pray and hope the pause is over soon and save as much as you can. Also maybe your company would be nice to accept your receipt notice ( when your extension is over) i highly doubt it but we can try. i am under a lot of stress too thinking of what to do. i am in health care so i am considering canada too @kim avra

@kim avra it took about 2 months. theres really no point. theres nothing they can do for you.

@ob o my country is not part of the 39 countries affected by the adjudication pause. However, it is included in the list of 75 countries but I applied here in the U.S., I’m hoping that doesn’t impact my case. I pray God intervenes, the ban is lifted, and we all get approved so we can work

@kim avra if your country is not included then your work permit shouldnt be held up. the 75 countries affect only people from outside the US. Amen to your prayers.

yes, around that time but the card was never received from me. probably they shipped it to my previous address and I had to apply again..

@samuel dani what is the expiration of your new EAD? 18 months or 5 years? I contacted my congremman and mine has been approved and the card has been mailed thank God, but I don’t know how long the duration will be since when I applied for the renewal back in 2024, it was 5years duration and the changed it later Dec 2025.
