EAD on H1B
hi all!
i recently got my EAD, I-485 is still pending after my bio. im still currently under my employer as H1B, and just wondering if i can use my EAD for a second job, while under the contract with my current employer? will it compromise anything, my current status while waiting for interview, etc?

I am not for sure but I guess you cannot have another job with keeping H1B VISA

My understanding is you can join another employee with the EAD. They will do the I9 employment verification using the EAD.
If you choose this option you would have deemed to give up your H1B status.
Tomorrow God forbid if your GC does not get approved you will have to go back to your home country.
Also you need advance parole to enter the country if you leave the country till your case is decided.

When do the new employer verify using I9? Does that count as EAD is used when they verify, or when you actually start working?
