EAD extension approval was standalone although I-131 was approved in the past.
Hello, trying to get some input from people in same scenario or who have been. I have a F2A application pending with priority date of 09/2022.
- Previously approved I-765 and I-131 - Combo Card
- Pending I-485 and I-130
- Applied for EAD extension as expiry date was 6/2025.
- Approval for extension received - STANDALONE EAD
Questions
- What about when you want to travel in this situation?
- Did I have file a I-131 along with my application for EAD extension?
- Can I file another I-131 to be able to travel for emergency reasons(aging parents)?

you should have applied for both I-131 and I-765 if you have received the Combo card before. I filed for both and they sent me new 5-years COMBO card (expirs in 2029) probably due to backlogs.

@May T have you paid the i-131 form? they accepted my extension for i-765 but rejected my i-131 due to no payment submitted while I tho it’s still free but only i-765
