EAD Card
Hi guys,
USCIS produced my EAD card and it was delivered to my lawyers office. On that card they spelled my name wrong so my lawyer sent the card back for correction. It's been almost a month and a half and I still didnt hear anything. My question is, would i be able to go to the social security office and ask to have my SSN even though i still dont have my EAD card in hand?

Hello @ellie d you need to have a physical copy of your card when visiting the SS offices. Otherwise, there is no way to verify your status. I would suggest calling USCIS OR Emma to follow up on the status of replacing your EAD. All the best!

Hello @ellie d, when you call, refer to the reciept number on the approval notice. Social Security would have to see the physical card before issuing a SSN.
