EAD Approved šŸ„³ šŸŽ‰
Finally itā€™s my turn to give back to this community šŸ™ The posts and comments here were very helpful in our process to expedite EAD. Sharing our experience in case it can be helpful to others. - July 6: called USCIS at 8am EST at 8003755283, said infopass, and spoke to an agent to request an expedite based on a pending job offer and financial loss category. Was given a referral number starting with T1B1 (the referral doesnā€™t seem to be helpful because thereā€™s no way to track the request. Never got a confirmation that the request was created). If you donā€™t call at 8am, itā€™s fine too, just keep in mind the wait is long. - July 11: used the online Emma chat to follow up on my request. This was the only time we could manage to get in queue (typed infopass until getting in queue) so preferred to call subsequent times. - July 15: called to follow up and also sent a message through USCIS online account (never got any response through the online account). - July 20: called again and put a second request, got a new referral number also starting with T1B1. - July 22: got an email from USCIS asking to fax supporting documents to a number. Same day faxed all of the documents. They only asked to fax job offer letter, but we included others: Cover letter explaining our situation and noting the team at NBC to address the attention to, a copy of USCIS email, job offer letter, doctorā€™s notes, medical bills, tuition bills, rent and electricity bills. - July 25: noticed something looked different for my I-765 case on my online account in the morning (thereā€™s a blue section on top left saying concurrent filing). Case approved in the afternoon. Hope this helps people waiting for their news and best of wishes to the community. #ead #expedite

Hi Martin, Iā€™m also planning to fax my evidence, how do you go about the attn: number I donā€™t understand and where to add it on the fax
M
Martin MJul 26, 2022
@b r on the first page of the document package youā€™re faxing, put the attn there in bold and big font so that when you fax to the number provided, they can see which department/team to send the documents to.

thank you for sharing your experience. I literally tried many ways to get this expedited request going (requested on June 29, email from USCIS on July 12, Congressman office sent evidence on July 21, phone call to ask about the status of this expedited request on July 25. still no news. my I-765 status did not even change. desperately waiting for good news. I have a job offer waiting for this EAD.

@Hope D I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I hope you have good news soon šŸ¤žI know itā€™s quite frustrating but donā€™t lose hope. My PD is Dec 2021, so by the time I got approval itā€™s more than 7 months of filing.

thanks martin! i have mixed feelings about it. but I really hope and pray that they approve my request. I really want to be able to start working now šŸ˜©

i hope you get yours soon. we have similar PD. you should receive your ead as itā€™s been almost 8 months. if you donā€™t hear anything after 7 days, follow up. as you can see from my post, i called them up a lot to get my card. its status just changed to ā€œcard was producedā€ today, 3 days after approval. i hope i can get in the mail soon so that I can start working.
high hopes šŸ¤Jul 29, 2022
thanks for the info @martin! youā€™ll get your card soon and goodluck for the future endeavors! :)
high hopes šŸ¤Jul 29, 2022
hey @martin i got an email today from uscis request supporting documents. but they havenā€™t provided anything where i can fax. can you pls enlighten me on what i can do?
high hopes šŸ¤Jul 29, 2022
requesting *
M
Martin MJul 29, 2022
thatā€™s strange. can you post the content of the email? did they ask for any documents specifically? (for me they asked for offer letter as I said I had a job offer). they should provide instruction about how to submit evidence. for some people, I saw that they didnā€™t ask for any evidence anf hours after the email, they got approval which could also be your case.
high hopes šŸ¤Jul 29, 2022
they said they need additional evidence for uscis to consider this request šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«
high hopes šŸ¤Jul 29, 2022
and they sent a referrence number
M
Martin MJul 29, 2022
in that case I would call them and tell them that you received the email asking for additional evidence but thereā€™s no instructions about how to submit the evidences. then they should let you know what to do. the goals of the call should be where to send the evidence and try to get what evidence they are looking for. if evidence is not specific, I would send cover letter explaining your situation, any bills (rent, medical, tuition, utilities, mortgageā€¦), offer letter if you have. now they asked for evidence so the representative canā€™t tell you to just wait. i hope for you, because itā€™s not specific, you may actually get approval soon. call them and they may have better insight.
high hopes šŸ¤Jul 29, 2022
thanks I really hope thatā€™s the case! šŸ¤ž

Hi Martin! I just noticed the blue icon saying ā€œConcurrent filingā€ in my online account - along with my partnerā€™s application. I was looking for any info online about this and found your post here. Does it mean that someone is looking into my account now?
M
Martin MSep 20, 2022
hi P R have you seen that icon before or it appears recently? in my case, I didnā€™t see it initially but soon (just a few hours) after I saw that icon, I got approval for my EAD.

we are tracking all applications. n-400 is for me (I was a greencard holder). the remaining of the applications are for my wife (not related to n-400).
