Yes, you can get your vawa approved without prima facie. EAD/AP is the first approval (that’s if your ead is c09 category) when your vawa is approved, they will issue another ead but c31 category. You don’t have anything to worry about. If the set of document you submitted is not enough, they will send you rfe asking telling you what else to submit. I hope this answers your questions
