I got my ead card and went to the ssa with it. even tho I ticked the box to have a ssn approved with my paperwork . they won’t get to it straight away .when you get your ead go straight to the ssa they are all open now you don’t need an appointment and apply for 1. I got my ssc in 6 days just bring paperwork and passport n your ead

I brought my i797c paper receipt you should get that a few days before your ead card all paperwork you get along in your journey should all be put in a folder you never know when you will need it and always bring it along to things like this

you can also apply for informed mail from usps from the usps website it sends you an email in the morning with a picture of the mail that is due to be delivered that day it’s incredibly handy to see your mail in the morning before delivery so your not waiting around for your post delivery
