DWI & I485 marriage-based application
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any experience or knows anyone that has been approved for a green card (I485 marriage-based) while having a DWI on their record??? I had my interview a couple weeks ago, my lawyer felt the interview went incredibly great, the officer told us she had no doubt we were married, in love & she was going to approve my I-130 but she was going to need more evidence regarding my arrest/DWI. I'm very nervous. God bless everyone & thanks for yalls response.

Nothing to worry about as long as there were no other serious crimes involved. DUI is not grounds for rejection. Did you provide necessary evidence that the case was closed? Gather those documents if not done already

First and foremost thank you for replyin... The case is not closed, I am still on probation until February of next year, deferred judication. I collected all the evidence requested and it was sent to them a few days ago. No other serious crimes involved and it was a single car accident, I was driving by myself.

You'll be totally fine in that case, for reasons I mentioned earlier. Also, assuming you don't have any other serious records or criminal history.
