drive in USA with green card
Are GC holders allowed to drive in the US if they only have their drivers license from their home country? Or do they have to wait to apply for a drivers license in the state of residence before getting behind the wheel?

True, some states do not accept foreign driving license and hence the insurance companies cannot recognize foreign drivers license if you are from that state.

in Florida you can drive with your license as long as you have your passport with it. I am from Jamaica and have been driving here for several months that way.
