Dof current, when to leave country?
My PD is now current with the Date of filing. I want to apply i-485, AP and EAD. I also need to leave US for a couple weeks.
How long does it typically take to get the AP?
At which point between now and getting the green card should I not leave the country?

Once the I-485 is filed, if you're not in a dual intent status, you should not leave the US without AP. Otherwise it'll be considered abandoned. Any time before filing the I-485 or after getting AP is fine.

And yes, USCIS will switch back to DOF in October, so you'll only be able to file then
