Documentarily Qualified Question
Hi everyone, My EB2 NIW petition was approved in February 2024, and I received an email from the NVC that says I became documentarily qualified in May 2024. I added my newborn to the application recently, and I have already sent all the required payments and supporting documentation to the NVC. Now my question is, does anyone know if the recent addition of my baby will change the date I became documentarily qualified (DQ) and potentially delay our interview date OR will the DQ date remain the same? My understanding is that the US Consulates schedule interview on a first come, first serve basis when a case becomes current (i.e., they use the DQ date) For context, my priority date is August 2023, and I'm not residing in the US. Here is the latest information on the website of the US Consulate Office in Montreal: "As of March 3, 2025, most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in November 2024; most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in January 2025; and most Employment cases scheduled for interview were documentarily complete in March 2024."

I don't think it would change anything since it's all under your EB2-NIW umbrella
