Dismissed Mandamus?
Recently joined to a group writ of mandamus (after more than 5 years waiting on a I-485). Just got an email from the lawyer that USCIS is trying to get the mandamus dismissed. Is this normal?

they are trying to do it all the time. you can agree or you can fight… i bet they are trying to dismiss due to venue blablabla ….your lawyer should fight it especially in your case…why are you waiting for 7 years???? what petition??? do u have somethi n to do with visa availability??
you can resd more about WOM here in blog section, but in your case we need to know more since no one is adjusting for 7 years unless you are waiting for VISA and then it’s an obvious dismissal if it’s not available…

@mike g i went through his profile…it says that he is adjusting based on ASYLUM , but WTF 7 years? 7? and you sit on your d… this is some crazy math…anywayor we are missing a piece of info ir he is super unlucky…

The lawyer said they will fight back since apparently the request to dismiss the case is based on technicalities. Not sure how it will develop (was told the process will probably have an outcome until August - October - estimated).
Regarding my timeline, my I-485 was submitted on November 2020 (a little bit more than 5 years waiting)

good morning I just checked court records and they did not file motion to dismiss on your case instead they file extension of time !!! which I think it’s good and better then file a dismissal
