Disappointment
Alright, I’m so done. I has been working my ass up and hoping for a better future in the US. And now they show me a month advance after 3 months. Honestly this shit is extremely offended to know. I don’t know how to say. Why don’t they just approve all the green cards and start a new better cycle? It is very wasting time to wait like this. A year is very long and now they want us to wait for 3-4 years.

There are around 55,000 pending EB3 unskilled applicants( including consular and dependents) and only 10,000 available visa per year. Hence, this retrogration will be massive in comming months and years. This is the reason that date of filing has not moved an inch, because there are already applicants who have to wait for more than 5 years from now 55,000 total applicants = 5 times 10,000 per year.

@the future not sure where he got that data from your 20k ball park sounds more accurate but I his general perception of the situation is correct. currently it's a 3.5 year wait time from LC to possible current. That 3.5 year doesn't include PWD waiting period.

all i140 approved were not able to file i485 after Feb 2023. so number of i140 will not suffice to calculate estimated time period.

it’s literally a game of supply and demand now. And sadly, the number of applicants are much bigger than their visa supply (keep in mind that each applicant also includes their dependents, which takes up the amount of visa more).

Just think you are lucky that you was able to send in your i485. there’s a lot more people still can not submit their application because the Filing Date is cut off.
