please how long did it take to cancel the deportation after your lawyer began work ? am in the same situation lawyer filed a motion to cancel removal proceedings a few weeks ago

how did you file with uscis to reopen case pleae? my lawyer told me we have to reapply for the green card and want to charge me $9000. I'm trying to see if this is something I can do on my own

@Betty Jasmin just send Judge decision + I130 approval notice + I485 closed notice together. Send to address on I485 notice. And I wrote on the envelope: the note Immigration Judge decision + Reopen I485 and my receipt number. they reopened within 60days

@j a call uscis tell them you want to schedule an appointment info pass to turn in your court order from IJ they usually tell you an officer will call to schedule the appointment make a copy of your administratively closed i485 and a copy of your court order from IJ turn it in on your appointment day in person explain to the officer your reason for the appointment and give he/she the copy mine was open that same day on my appointment day

hi @Mat Fan , i have lawyer, and i chat the officer thru USCIS website. they said they have 60 timeline before they reopen my case. Is it better to call? or i just let my lawyer handled it for me? still waiting for my case to reopen and I am so frustrated about it. 😪

@j a here is my story August 29 2023 IJ dismissed my case September 5th my lawyer wrote a letter and copy of my administratively closed i485 and the IJ order and she sent to uscis office according to her 90days passed no response from uscis case was still closed So I call uscis myself Got an infro pass Feb 28 to give them the copies of what my lawyer sent to them, that same day they reopened my case March 8th I got RFE for medical got it in hand march 12th April 1st sent through usps the mail was delivered to uscis April 3 now I’m waiting for there response So if you can’t wait like me I will advice you call them (uscis) explain to them get an intro pass Make a copy of the IJ order and a copy of your I485 give them the day of your appointment That’s should help speed up the reopening

@j a is the RFE for medical if yes after submittion it’s should take about a week or two depending of the complexity of your case I submitted mine on the 3rd got approved on the 8 now I’m waiting for them to to mail the card

Anyone here still waiting for green card after submitting the dismissal order? I had an infopass in July 2024 to reopen my case, submitted judge order and my medical but never heard from them. case still not reopen until now. I'm in Long Island NY
